lol, ever try to figure out how we can , trough gene manipulation, turn cancer into immortality?(of death by old age only of course)

but seeing the government has outlawed gene manuplation(hence cloning banned) it is therefore impossiable to do that(typed whilst my other side kept yelling stfu)

I have actually thought about that. However I also thought about that if we can achieve immortality this way our brains will eventually rot away as they cannot replicate. This kind of immortality might result in losing all function when we become old, or perhaps a zombie outbreak

yes unfortunately but its just that if we could stop the accelerated reproduction of the cells ,it would indeed mean life forever, we wouldn't even age. yes it's just that me and my friend were discussing this because i said that it did not matter if someone found a cure for cancer, the greedy money bags of this world would keep it for themselves, and make a run off that isn't as useful and has to be kept in treatment example pills, they would have to keep buying to treat the cancer

There is technically no possible cure for cancer as it is not a disease, but a natural failure of cell mitosis. In order to cure something it would have to be a disease. Really they would have to have a way to 'fix' cancer rather than a cure. Ultimately if there is a way to simply fix cancer someone will get rich off of it, specifically the person that found the solution. It will be up to them whether they make such a solution public or private initially but eventually it would turn public out of government intervention. Fixing cancer gives presidents a good reputation.

true most people are like that and only want money(like my biological father) but if we could change the cancer genes to provide immortality what about the people who dont have it? they will feel angered and go to kill the people with the immortality provided that they can die even without old age. and another thing is if you do slow cell regeneration your body will deteriate because there is no new cells to hold them in place due to them not being made fast enough.

If we had a way to manipulate cancer then it would be easy to give it to people. So your argument is somewhat irrelivant. Ultimately I think the main problem is that organ cells are specialized to be a cell of that organ. If someone was immortal due to cancer manipulation then they would have to have EVERY type of cancer immaginable.
