the ethics of banning for using a particular card

why should using a particular card (self destruct) result in a ban. if people dont like it then too bad learn how to get around it but that is no reason to ban someone for exploiting a card. if anything it prevents people from developing counter strategies because all they have to do is get the person banned instead. its a slippery slope once you ban one card, who knows what is next

alright let me explain how this works on dn

in matches the game continues until some one wins 2/3

self destruct button based decks will draw forever and hence cause problems on dn so they have been banned in both matches and singles.

its not about how people hate the card its about how it affects the matches.

any use of such a deck and some one actually reports you for using it will result in an automatic ban on dn.

i strongly urge our users to stay away from the card period.

learn a way to combat it, finish em before they can activate the card

dn head admin detonator has spoken and wont change his mind just dont make a self destruct button deck

Being counter-able is not the point.

It's that there's no reason to use the deck whatsoever besides trolling, which is the offense.

The offense is NOT simply using the card, the offense is the intention behind it.

trolling as tuvillo said is the main reason behind the banning of such a deck which is why i told you ender not to make a troll deck around it

yes you are allowed to use it there is no rule saying you cant

however you can be banned or get a game loss if you use it incorrectly

what you do is always keep the top card of the deck banished and hten when you draw it banish the next card..

doing it any other way can result in a game loss for ruining the game state

its the principal of the thing, not the card itself

Flipping the deck upside down changes a random deck to a random deck, so not flipping it at all IS a fine solution, if nothing changed the top or bottom of the deck before flipping.

honestly i hate the fact that there is a ban list, if konami doesnt like the cards being used then they shouldnt print them

but they print those cards to make money.........
