| DECONSTRUCTING DARK-WORLDS AND THEIR VARIANTS
Part 1: (Dark-World / Fabled Hybrid)
This particular Archetype pair revolves around the Discard/Draw engine of both Archetypes.
It's strengths are that it
A). Spams the field through discard effects almost as well as a good Six Sam deck.
B). Has decent draw power.
and C). Has decent field control, with Grapha's destruction power.
It's weaknesses are that it
A). Is vulnerable to Negation Effects like Shadow and Light-imprisoning Mirrors.
B). Is heavily dependant on Spell cards for draw power and destruction effects.
and C). Can easily over-extend and deplete hand advantage quickly if you don't know when to stop.
Based on these strengths and weaknesses, it has a competitive edge, probably Tier 2 in rating, and can overpower some decks easily, as well as trash the troll decks (Exodia-Win, or similar decks). It isn't likely to top anything, but it's a good Archetype mix and an example of good Archetype Synergy. It is also 'Chaos' capable, as all 'Fabled' monsters are Light-type, and all 'Dark-World' monsters are Dark-type, enabling the use of Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, and Chaos Sorcerer.

| This helps me..so much. Can someone also explain the Effects of Grapha? I never get to read since it gets on the field so fast and I don't get a chance to actually know the effect, or ruling. | |

| The effect of Grapha is, and this is the actual card text:
"You can Special Summon this card (from your Graveyard) by returning 1 face-up "Dark World" monster you control to the hand, except "Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World". If this card is discarded to the Graveyard by a card effect: Target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target, then, if this card was discarded from your hand to your Graveyard by an opponent's card effect, look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand, then, if it was a monster, you can Special Summon it to your side of the field."
If anyone has questions, I'll answer them. I'll also be modifying the OP as often as possible.

| To clarify the above question, grapha's effect excists out of 2 different parts. Sorry to interrupt in your thread nyuu, teacher's habit 1st is his summoning condition: "You can Special Summon this card (from your Graveyard) by returning 1 face-up "Dark World" monster you control to the hand, except "Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World". this should speak for itself, return a DW you controll to the hand (except a grapha) and slam the dragon onto the field from your GY.2nd is his trigger effect: If this card is discarded to the Graveyard by a card effect: Target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target, then, if this card was discarded from your hand to your Graveyard by an opponent's card effect, look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand, then, if it was a monster, you can Special Summon it to your side of the field. as we dont see the word ''can' in his card eff, you can see this effect is not optional when hes discarded, and the he isnt able to miss the timing becaus of that aswell.
When he gets discarded, he destroys an opponents card, if discarded by an opponents eff, ALSO look at a card in the opp hand and possibly summon that card if it was a monster. Also as in, the destruction effect will also happen when hes discarded by your opponents effect.

| Which brings the question, for explanations sake. If he doesn't destroy, will he still allow you to look at opp's handcard and special in case it's a monster? [reference = Bottomless Trap Hole; If not destroyed, not banished] | |

| Sy, Bottomless destroys/banishes from field. If there is not target to destroy, then the second eff still goes off, if the second condition was met. I.e. being discarded by opp. | |
