What do you guys think of DNs new randomizer for ranked matches? I think its so legit!

i like it but i think they need the list as well for people who dont want to use the randomizer

i find it kind of stupid but i'll get used to it

Yeah I had a question why did they choose this instead of the list and the randomizer...I mean I kind of like it. But i also like the multitude of challenges I could have with some1 that is higher ranked than me that the list used to have

becuase the pool is random and it doesnt let you choose your opponents.

rated is supposed to reflect tournament play.
you do not get to choose your opponents in tournaments

The randomizer is way better... If your a scrub that wants to pick your opponent in a random match, then realize that your a scrub and move on... Rated matches should be random.. DN did good on this one...

Not really. It would still be better to be both, a lot of other people I know on DN agree. I mean yeah it reflects tournament play but I think they should just leave that for tournaments and let you get your ratings the way you choose, random or selected.

no.. if you want to choose your opponent, then you can do a nonrated match... but something that effects your rated should be random period.. too many cheaters and boosters.. This way, its fair for everyone.. if a person is not about fairness, then he should drawn himself in his own blood..

I kinda like the pool. Now I can actually find matches in rated without people chickening out.

It's still not about boosting though it would still just be nice to be able to gain rank from some1 you pick. True it seems like it's more fair because there's no boosting and what not, but i used to duel a friend of mine on here for rank, a very good duelist, and things would be very interesting beating one another seeing who could gain more rank. Dueling people you know for rank isn't boosting if it's legit. And so again THAT is not cheating, and that is what I miss and THAT is MY opinion. Not that you, Chovy, or any1 else on here really has a huge say, individually, what happens with it anyway. I'm sure it would take more people, considering all the people on DN to change it and or keep it the way it is now.

Playing someone you know to gain rank IS cheating! haha... and thats exactly why it was taken off, because there was a boosting problem! Am i calling you a cheater, no, My only point is that this is a much more FAIR system and because of that, its a much more better system because for ranked matches, fair is better.. and They are not stopping you from playing your friend, you can still play him, the option is still there, just not in ranked matches, which still keeps the diversity...

I assume it's just a new gadget that has no use. If you want to go for a random match, yuou just close your eyes, and click someone.

I guess that is a better reason for it to be installed, yes. Evens the playing field.

Maybe it is fair, and better as such in that sense, but it's still NOT cheating if you don't boost. I for one do not LET people win no matter who. If it just so happens i go paired up with said person in a match at random anyway would that be considered cheating? No it wouldn't we would be in a match still playing/competing just like if we chose to. Would i have to quit because we got paired up? No, just like how it used to be when i could choose that. Besides it's still easy to boost if you keep quitting you can just gain exp. Maybe not rank but exp. So there's also that. I like the fairness idea, but also theres just times where there are people who are either major jerks, or cheaters, or something along those lines and it's just nice to be able to have a good fair duel, because as far as trust if you can trust your opponent you can expect they'll give you all they've got and not cheat. I mean you could still have it fair by having an admin there but that's all just stressful to go through, calling them, explaining a situation and so on. I do like that there's less boosting and that it's more fair, but dislike the loss of the comfort zone i had before. I know it wouldn't be that way in a tournament but i'm not ALWAYS looking for that, just to gain some exp and rank, and have fun doing it and know it'll be fair/less stressful. It is a pretty good system i just wish they would have combine the 2 some how i guess.

And as far as playing guys at your rank you could get paired up with some1 who is really good and has alot of exp but just has a low rank because others have moved up on the leaderboards couldn't you? I'm not entirely sure of how the rank works, but I only do it for the exp.

Your arguing such a useless point its not even funny.. For the last time, did i call you a cheater? no.. My ONLY POINT is that its a more FAIR system, if your against a more FAIR system, then you shouldnt play ranked matches.. You might not be boosting and i dont know or care if you were, but more than half the people on there were boosting. cheating.. why is that so hard for u to understand? its way more fair this way and your complaining that you cant play your friend? if you want to play you friend, do an UNRANKED MATCH!!!! how hard is that? geez man...

draco this is an important topic and negative comments are expected about this pool unlocked i will lock it if i see it getting bad but so far its not that bad and people need to be able to ask questions

The pool doesn't seem to be working as well for me. The random aspect I mean. I've ended up playing against the same guy 3 times in a row. I actually know this guy personally, his name's Steve. He plays nordics, we go to school together. I'm guessing if I spend too much time on OCG match play I'll end up finding the same people again and again. It might also have to do with the fact we were trying to coordinate the times we logged into the pool...

Lol way to like spaz. It's not useless, it's my opinion and I miss it the way it was and I PERSONALLY wish it was back. You're trying to argue me out of my opinion and it's so stupid. Perhaps it's more fair in ways the way it is, but it's definately not perfect. There will still be boosting, there will be replay matches as Lloyd has mentioned and there will still be cheating. I/ME don't like the way it pairs you up sometimes. Theres the ranking issue like I said still also so it can be a bit un-leveled. I'm pretty definately sure I'm allowed to think that I don't like it, and I don't need convincing otherwise. I already know the positives of it and I just dislike the negatives more. That's the point I'M getting across is that PERSONALLY I think of it that way, just as EVERYONE else on here was doing. I think it's useless trying to persuade me and suggest my opinion is wrong because of the new positives. Sure there seems to be better things I just don't like the change and that's not going to change. You asked my opinion so don't call it complaining if you didn't wanna know, k, fantastic.

I never actually said I was cheating, I just thought it was funny I kept running into Steve. The only reason I managed to beat him every time is because he had a bad match-up against me. Also he's really bad at telling when I'm bluffing.

Ok so ultimately what the players themselves think really doesn't matter and they were going to do this at some point anyway, so this conversation is almost completely pointless? That's what I hope you mean since it would be an interesting conversation point. If this isn't what you mean you might have to explain why you would give us this information in the first place. I don't think anyone has asked for it to be changed back.
